Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seek an Open Rank/Tenure Track physician or clinician scientist with significant experience in addiction research. The major expectation for this position will be to develop and maintain an independent clinical research program related to alcohol and/or substance abuse and dependence that fosters bridges between the basic science and the clinical addiction medicine program.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must withhold a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Candidates with postdoctoral training will be given preference.
The preferred candidate will have research experience relevant to alcohol and/or substance abuse and dependence disorders. Highest qualified candidates will have a record of relevant publications and scholarly activity. The preferred candidate should also be able to demonstrate strong clinical skills and experience working with an inter-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines.
