Job Description:INSPYR Solutions is seeking a dependable Desktop Support Specialist for one of its oil and gas clients in Midland, TX. This role provides the first point of contact support for all enterprise-level software/hardware workstation systems from employees. This includes maximizing the productivity of employee workstations, laptops, and network software & hardware by troubleshooting and correcting issues promptly. Our client places a heavy emphasis on customer service and employee support.
Responsibilities:Provide First Contact Support for all IT-related services.Provides Tier I and Tier II technical support via phone or in-person by resolving questions and problems relating to information systems hardware and software, network devices, print devices, cabling, workstations, and peripherals.Troubleshooting problematic areas (in person or by electronic means of communication like telephones or email) with accuracy and speed.Engage Business Partners to promote services and manage expectations. Perform periodic on-call duties. (~40%)Perform installation, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, upgrading, and recovery of computer hardware, mobility devices, print devices, peripherals, and equipment to ensure optimal workplace performance.Performs hardware moves, installs (adds), and/or changes.Will reconfigure workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.Troubleshoot network and system connectivity.Provide timely and accurate updates of asset management records. (~35%)Create and develop standards, guidelines, workflow processes, and best practices to provide technical guidance to co-workers and Business Units.Follows departmental policies and procedures.Maintains and consults knowledge base to optimize problem resolution. (~15%)Participate in key projects and initiatives. (~10%)Knowledge and Experience:
Working knowledge and proficiency in PC, printer, telephony, mobility, and other ancillary IT device configuration/support.Experience with Intune is preferred.Working knowledge and proficiency in the latest workstation environments (Office 365, Windows 7/10).Microsoft O/S including Windows 10, Office, web browsers, virus protection, and other standard and ancillary workstation and ancillary device software.PC, printer, telephony, mobility, and other ancillary IT device configuration/support.Mobility provisioning, deployment, and tracking.Working knowledge and proficiency of workstation software deployment techniques.Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft SCSM/SCCM. - Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory.Working knowledge and proficiency in collaboration tools (Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint).Working knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies in medium to large enterprises.Internet and cloud-based technologies.Our benefits package includes:
