POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Manager, San Francisco supports Aim High sites located in San Francisco. This position requires extensive local travel throughout the summer and up to 30% local travel during non-summer months. This position is responsible for the management and leadership of up to 6 Aim High sites, including teacher hiring, student recruitment, and Site Director management throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead program implementation
Oversee high-quality program management implementation for assigned portfolioHire, coach, train, and manage site leadership teams to meet or exceed goals. This includes providing the professional development for summer staff, building and managing the Site Director pipeline, supporting Site Director meetings, and leading cross-campus days.Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in assigned portfolio, including school and district leaders and program partners to ensure effective partnerships, efficient program operations, and retention of valued partnerships year over year. Serve as the primary relationship holder with current partnerships.Support with building the summer staff recruitment pipeline, oversight of summer staff hiring for their portfolio, and family engagement initiatives.Support program operations
Serve as a primary external contact for student recruitment and admissions by delivering high-quality and engaging presentations to target student populations on a regular basis throughout the peak recruitment season as directed by the Director of Alumni and Student Opportunities (ASO).Support with family and alumni engagement as determined by the Director of ASO.Assist with on-site logistics.Assist with special projects as assigned by the VP of Programs.Support in the collection of program data using the systems and tools provided by the Data and Evaluation team; provide regional insights for assigned portfolio using reports and analysis provided by the Data and Evaluation team.Recommend improvements and enhancements to the program model, design, delivery, and implementation.Provide team leadership and management
Collaborate with every member of the Aim High team, including the CEO and BoardBuild and maintain strong relationships across the organization.Assist in building community and team. Be a culture carrier committed to Aim High's ADEI (Anti-Racist, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) values.Manage a caseload of up to twelve direct reports. Hire, coach, and manage multiple Site Director teams. Deliver effective team management and ongoing professional development.Manage and support Site Directors in meeting their annual goals/objectives, including student enrollment, summer staff (teachers and administrative staff), etc.Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
You will be successful in this role if you...
Possess a deep commitment to the mission and values of Aim High.Have at least 2-3 years of nonprofit program experience, including program management, implementation, and administration.High level of cultural competence; bi-lingual and/or proficiency in Spanish is desired given the communities we serve.Have an understanding of the California education landscape.Demonstrate an ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.Proficient in using computers and software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead and build teams.Possess strong problem-solving abilities.Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a team; collaborative team player who knows how to work with others to move work forward.Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Demonstrate experience working with diverse audiences and/or communicating with an equity lens.Innately hold a positive, can-do attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset.Have strong attention to detail and the ability to operate with considerable independence to effectively establish priorities and work accurately under time constraints.Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as a high level of cultural competence.JOB DETAILS
Reports To: VP of ProgramsLocation: San Francisco, CA - must be able to regularly travel in and around the San Francisco Bay Area up to 5 days per week. As a result, access to reliable transportation is required for this role.Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, we expect the starting pay for this position to be around $85,000 annually.Classification: Full-Time (40 hours per week); Exempt from overtime.Benefits: 100% employer-paid health insurance (medical/dental/vision) for employees, 5% retirement match, and generous paid time off including a winter closure.Priority Deadline: October 31, 2024Target Start Date: January 6, 2025
