JOB SUMMARY

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising the staff on their shift. They are effective in guiding, teaching, and serving as a role model to youth utilizing a relational, trauma informed, strength- based, culturally competent behavior model to ensure that the safety and individual goals of each client are achieved. They reinforce the policies and philosophy of the organization while maintaining professional communication, verbal and written, with internal and external team members to ensure a strong and effective team approach.

Rotating Schedule- Week 1: Monday- Friday 2:00p-10:00p or 3:00pm-11:00pm Week 2: Wednesday- Sunday 2:00pm-10:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides training & documentation oversight for staff. (i.e. hold debriefing, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), on site trainings, incident reports, Workers Compensation, etc.).Ensures important client observations are shared with Clinical Team and a physical presence in the milieu for staff guidance and support throughout shift. Oversight of daily client update sheets and daily shift report email prior to the end of shift.Provides daily observation emails to leadership, report to a higher-level supervisor or manager, providing updates on shift performance and any incidents.Provides on-call rotation 24/7 for one week at time: managing call outs, coverage for ratio and crisis support to the program as needed, acting crisis lead on shift.Attends staff meetings and daily community meetings and presenting relevant topics as needed.Assists in the coordination of staff schedules and ensure that they have their daily schedule, necessary supplies and are aware of staff meetings/events in the program. Ensures staff are reviewing client Personal Action Plan (PAP) and are familiar with client goals for the shift.Demonstrates consistent use of TCI principles and the Respect Information Connection Hope (RICH) concept.Oversees of all client appointments on and off grounds.Maintains organizational aspects of all common spaces, department procedures/needs, and environmental/staff safety.Oversees that mediation takes place between youth or between youth and staff as necessary.

Experience and SkillsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree strongly preferred; High School diploma is required.QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a solution orientation manner.Make quick decisions and use problem solving to ensure smooth operations.Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations, i.e. must be able to supervise groups of children and perform physical intervention if required; must be able to move freely from place to place without restriction.Role models professionalism in communication and behavior (good attendance and punctuality, timeliness for meetings, adherence to dress code, respectful, clear and timely communication, follow-through, confidentiality, accountability, integrity).All Shift Supervisors in the Residential and School programs are required to obtain and maintain the following certifications:
