Munson is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Web Content Manager to join our dynamic Communications team. This position is located on-site in Utica, NY. This key role will be instrumental in managing and enhancing the content and performance of Munson's digital presence.

In this position the Web Content Manager will be responsible for creating, designing, and overseeing content for the Munson and Pratt Munson websites, as well as supporting other digital platforms. Combining technical expertise with creative content development, this role ensures that the Munson websites are engaging, user-friendly to deliver an optimal experience, and aligned with organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Web Content and Digital Management:

Oversee daily operations and maintenance of Munson's websites to ensure content accuracy, currency, and alignment with branding, communication strategies, and marketing campaigns.Initiate and lead discussions with key stakeholders to develop website strategies and feedback.Manage website sitemap and execute appropriate updates and additions.Develop and edit text, images, and video that align with strategic objectives, organizational goals, target audience marketing, and brand voice.Partner with Communications and IT offices to establish and maintain efficient workflows.Develop project timelines and ensure timely delivery of all requests.Perform regular content audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance.Collaborate with designers, writers, developers, and marketing strategists to ensure content aligns with branding and marketing strategies.Technical Implementation:

Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create and customize web pages.Work within CMS platforms like WordPress or Drupal to ensure proper formatting.Design website templates and modules that adhere to brand styles and UX design standards.Troubleshoot and resolve content-related issues and ensure cross-browser compatibility.Integrate multimedia elements such as images, videos, and interactive features into the website.Create mock-ups and design directions for new templates, websites, and digital experiences.Work with IT to address technical issues and implement website enhancements.Performance Optimization and Data Analytics:

Ensure content is formatted, tagged, and categorized for optimal user experience and SEO.Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.Generate data reports to help the Communications division and content providers refine strategies and boost engagement.Analyze web-based marketing results to enhance attendance, fundraising, membership, gift shop sales, and overall engagement.User Experience (UX):

Ensure content is user-centric, easy to navigate, and enhances the overall user experience.Gather and respond to user feedback to continuously improve content and website functionality.Design and integrate user-centered features to elevate user experience.Marketing and Multimedia Creative Support:

Enhance the role of websites and digital platforms in reaching target audiences.Strategize content format, development, and placement across digital platforms.Support video production, photography, and creative marketing to enhance digital content and online experience.Collaborate with the Communications team to develop marketing campaigns that are supported by appropriate websites.Other responsibilities

Perform other duties as required.Serve on Munson interdivisional employee committees.Represent the organization at special events.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Proven experience in web content management, including familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create and customize web pages.Strong understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.Experience and strong working knowledge of Adobe CC suite of software with greater knowledge or skill set of Photoshop, Premiere, Indesign, and After Effects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.Must possess the ability to work with diverse groups of people.Excellent communication skills and professional interpersonal skills.Critical thinking, consensus building, and problem-solving skills.Ability to gather information, sort, draft, and provide analysis for budgetary and purchasing projects.PREFERRED SKILLS:

Proficient in writing and editing HTML code to structure web content effectivelyExperience with Google Analytics for monitoring website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics.Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, for creating and editing graphics, images, and layouts.

COMPUTER, MACHINE and EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

Proficient in sending/receiving email, posting information to databases or spreadsheets, and performing basic word processing, bookkeeping, and data entry tasks. Familiar with operating computers, printers, photocopiers, phone systems, fax machines, and scanners. Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledgeable in using various software programs relevant to job function.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Web Content Manager spends the majority of their time standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing and utilizing equipment such as a computer and telephone. A complete job description will be made available during the interview process.
