CDU was founded to address inadequate medical care in the region and to provide equitable medical education opportunities for underrepresented students.

TITLE: PROGRAM COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT: Student Health and Wellness

Salary Range:
$54,900 to $69,000
Under direct supervision of the Director, of Student Health and Wellness, the Program Coordinator provides overall support to the department and for the student health and wellness program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the planning, marketing and implementation of SHAW events, workshops, orientations, and training sessions.Manage confidentiality and control access to sensitive information related to students, include compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.Compose and produce business correspondence, reports and related materials.Collect and organize data and determine appropriate formats for displaying results.Execute special projects and monitor deadlines.Direct students to on campus and community resources to support their basic needs and academic successFacilitate student access to health-related products, including but not limited to care products, general health and hygiene products, healthy snacksCoordinate Student Health insurance enrollmentAssist with content design for the Website and managing social media accounts.Assist with researching funding sources, donation sources, and potential campus partnershipsServe as internal liaison resource for students and department.Support the planning and implementation of basic needs surveyThis is an ONSITE position to support the Student Health and Wellness ProgramOther Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:
EDUCATION:
Regionally accredited bachelor’s degree bachelor’s degree in public health or related fieldrequired; and/or equivalent combined education and related field experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years or more previous experience supporting a student health department or student health and wellness program at a higher education institution.The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with students, parents, and all members of the CDU community is a critical component of this position.Previous experience working with student health and wellness services.KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY/SKILLS:
Have strong communication and customer service skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google drives/folders/forms, Adobe AcrobatStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in using data to assess program effectiveness.Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency in using data to assess program effectivenessAbility to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
