is responsible for coordinating daily activities and operations for the Student Life Office at the Goodman South Campus, as well as supporting the Campus Cupboard Student Food Pantry. Overseeing front-end daily operations in Student Life as well as resolving questions and concerns from students and staff at the Goodman South Campus. Additionally, the

supports administrative functions and promotes student commuter services such as Madison Metro Transit bus passes, campus shuttles, ridesharing, and B-Cycle. This position plays a key role in creating and maintaining an inclusive, bias-free environment, leading and communicating in ways that champion equity, diversity, and inclusivity to meet the needs of a dynamic and diverse student body.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, 40 hours per week position 44 weeks per year. The

will work at the Goodman South Campus Monday - Thursday, and Fridays will be worked at the Truax Campus. This position will be August through May, with June and July off, working hours will be within the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional evening work required.

Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate the day-to-day activities and operations for the Student Life Office at the Goodman South Campus.
Manage daily operations and provide resolution to questions and concerns among the visitors and user groups of the Student Life Office at the Goodman South Campus.Lead the work of 1-3 student employees who provide direct service to users of the Student Life Office.Foster an atmosphere of equity, diversity and inclusivity that meets the needs of an active and diverse student body.Support Student Life activities at the Goodman South Campus by promoting activities to students and providing hands-on support during events.Coordinate commuter services for students, including:
Creating promotional materials and communications to increase student usage of all commuter services available to students.Participate in tabling at campus events to promote the usage of all commuter services available to students.Coordinate the schedule of the shuttle that runs between the Goodman South and Truax Campuses and serve as the point of contact for this service with an external bussing company.Coordinate the distribution of Madison Metro Transit bus passes for students at Madison-based campuses.Serve as a point of contact at Madison College for Round Trip (ride sharing) and B-Cycle (bicycle sharing service).Provide administrative support, including:
Schedule Student Activities Board meetings, organize meeting materials, and create meeting minutes for each Student Activities Board meeting.Coordinate onboarding for new student employees at Goodman South who will be working in Student Life, following Human Resources policies.Serve as a Department Buyer for routine requisitions and as a back up to the primary Department Buyer, as needed.Support the operations of the Campus Cupboard Food Pantry at the Goodman South Campus through promoting usage of the pantry and supporting the distribution of food during the hours of operation at the Goodman South Campus.
Maintains a commitment to the college mission, vision, and values.
Other duties as defined by department, college, or officials.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written communication skills.Demonstrated skill in communications and human relations with populations of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and persons with disabilities.Strong customer service skills to address concerns, questions, and issues from students, faculty, and visitors.Proficiency in scheduling and organizing meetings, preparing meeting materials, and documenting minutes.Ability to work in a fast-paced department, and maintain a customer-service focus, positive and welcoming environment.Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to anticipate needs.Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and visitors in a team-based environment, while maintaining confidentiality where required.Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent working experience. * Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position.Two (2) years work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing the duties of this position.
