Organization Summary:

Harvest Home is a faith-based residential non-profit organization that transforms the lives of homeless pregnant women and their children by providing housing, support, and programs that equip women to become great mothers.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Program Specialist supports the day-to-day activities of Harvest Home's programs by providing administrative assistance, coordinating program goals, and ensuring effective communication across the Program Team. This role involves working closely with the Director of Programs (DOP) and other staff to facilitate programs that are trauma-informed and enhance the overall experience for Harvest Home residents and alumnae.

Position Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm, with flexibility for weekend on-call coverage, occasional evening, and weekend All Staff events.

Responsibilities:

Program Support & Coordination:

Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating program activities, including scheduling classes and events for residents.Support the development and maintenance of resources, including program guides and tools, to ensure effective communication and service delivery.Support the DOP in coordinating with external partners, volunteers, and community resources to bring additional support and opportunities for residents.Support the development of trauma-informed care practices and provide guidance on effective communication strategies with residents.Collaborate with the DOP, Residential Life Coordinator Lead, and Lead Care Manager to ensure that program operations function smoothly and effectively.Support in leading the planning and coordination of program events, including workshops, resident activities, and special events that align with program goals.Serve as a point of contact for program participants, offering support and addressing concerns.Foster relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings and address resident needs.Collaborate with care managers, therapists, and other stakeholders to integrate trauma-informed approaches into resident care.Administrative Duties:

Manage schedules, organize meetings, and maintain records to support program operations.Prepare regular reports on program activities and outcomes for the Director of Programs and leadership team.Oversee logistical aspects of program activities, ensuring smooth operations and resource availabilityQualifications:

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver training and support to staff.A background in trauma-informed care, with experience working with vulnerable populations.Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Preferred Experience:

Experience in program coordination or support within non-profit or social service settings.Knowledge of issues related to homelessness, mental health, trauma, and parenting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for program management.Experience supporting perinatal and or early childhood populations.Benefits:
