Serigraph, a leading plastic and printing manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Director of Safety to join our team. As an integral part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and workplace safety, the Director of Safety will oversee environmental management, safety oversight, and provide strategic leadership across multiple facilities and shifts.
Director of Safety Responsibilities
Environmental Management:
Prepare and submit compliance reports for DNR & EPA, manage Safety Data Sheets, and ensure chemical components are environmentally compliant. Lead ISO 14001:2015 audit preparedness and continuous improvement of environmental safety measures. Draft and manage the Serigraph Contract of Superior Environmental Performance with the DNR Green Tier. Ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA, EPA, and DNR regulations.Safety Oversight:
Develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations. Coordinate safety training, accident investigation, and risk analysis for hazardous materials. Promote a proactive safety culture among employees.Strategic Leadership:
Actively engage in strategic planning and implementation of EHS initiatives aligned with Serigraph's core values. Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and team collaboration.Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with HR on an as-needed basis for projects or issues.What we are looking for in a Director of Safety
Bachelor of Science in a related discipline or equivalent experience of 5+ years in environmental health and safety roles.Demonstrated experience (1-2 years) managing program systems such as ISO 14001:2015.Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Self-directed and motivated with a keen attention to detail.Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to foster internal and external partnerships.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is strongly preferred.
