Schlossmann's Honda City is seeking an Environment, Health, and Safety Director.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Inspects the facility to identify compliance, safety, health, and environmental risks.Conduct new employee safety training; including all OSHA required topics.Make sure all certifications are up to date and current.Certify and train all future forklift operators; and retrain as needed.Documents health and safety and compliance procedures for all areas of the company.Conduct environmental inspections and submit reports to local agencies.Complete respiratory training and fit testing for new hires in the body shop.Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures and workplace safety.Monitors and documents compliance and safety procedures.Conduct formal monthly safety inspections; Along with informal weekly inspections.Come up with solutions to address safety issues that are discovered.Ensures that Safety Data Sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.Maintains records and works with all federal, state and municipal agencies as required.Investigate all accidents to prevent reoccurrence.Update OSHA accident logs and post summaries as needed.Work on all Insurance Claims until resolution.Conduct ongoing annual OSHA required training for all employees.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Extensive knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations and policies.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience in working with OSHA, DNR, and EPA
Qualifications:Bachelor degree in related discipline or equivalent experience of 5+ years inenvironmental, health, and safety roles.Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or relateddesignation helpful.
