The role involves postoperative care, inpatient and outpatient services, admitting and discharging patients, rounding on patients, and first assist in surgeryThe NP/PA will be working autonomously, with the supervising physician present during the assignmentThe average number of patients per day is 40, with a patient age demographic of adult/geriatric skin careTrauma Level 1Requirements
Board Certification (NCCPA) is requiredAn active Ohio license is highly preferred, but providers in the process of obtaining their license will be consideredACLS and BLS certifications are requiredThe candidate must be fellowship trained in Plastic SurgeryRequired Procedures: Incision and Drainage for wound care, Intraoperative experience for surgeries such as breast reductions, breast lifts, tummy tucks. Botox Injections, (migraine injections) steroid injectionsCall
The call schedule includes random days throughout the month, including weekendsThe call ratio is 1 in 3Will be on call with the physician to facilitate patient careRandom days throughout month-includes weekends, 20 DaysSupport Staff
The supervising physician will be present during the assignment, but the NP/PA will need to be able to work alone while the physician is seeing patients and while on callEMR
