The Director will be a member of Regenerons New Products Commercial Team who will provide input to the research and development teams for assigned assets in Regenerons expansive Obesity, CV and Neurology pipeline portfolio and report to the lead of this group. This role plays a key role in driving the global commercial strategy across all stages of development
This will be an exciting opportunity for the candidate to assist with the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical plans as it relates to our new products portfolio and to support launch planning for assets nearing transition from development stages to post approval.
A typical day may include the following:Provides commercial assessments of early and late stage molecules across the Regeneron portfoliohelping to inform and shape the longer-term development strategy for each program.Conducts comprehensive market analysis to identify opportunities, competitive landscape, and market trends leveraging both primary and secondary resourcesLeads a high performing cross functional commercial sub team to collaborate on creating commercial perspectives, developing market assessments, long term strategies and building yearly strategic plansServes as the commercial lead on the Strategic Program Development TeamsSupports commercial direction and decision making to optimize success at launch across all stages of development, including early positioning, robust and relevant target product profiles, early HEOR and Market Access (strategy including pricing), forecastingProvides input into optimal Phase II/III/IV design, life-cycle management, pediatric development, and scientific /promotional communications, INN/USAN naming protocols and optimizing dosing and delivery strategyFacilitates and collaborate with Market Access and HEOR to develop differentiated strategies and compelling value propositions to secure market access. Participate in the development of early market access strategy that spans all product indications, markets, and audiences.Participates in the annual budget planning process, delivery of long-range forecasts and resolving best allocation of resources for the brand/indicationCollaborates with marketing, legal, regulatory, medical and market research teams to ensure understanding, alignment, and implementation of strategyRepresents new product assessments to senior management and other internal/external partnersSupports the business development team in the evaluation of new opportunities and existing business extensions by providing assistance in the evaluation and proposal processTo be considered for this opportunity you will possess the following requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Required with preference for advanced degree in a Scientific field. Minimum of 12+ years of biopharmaceutical sponsor-side experience.Previous experience in new products or commercial development is strongly preferred.Previous experience with partnerships with both R&D and Commercial.Experience with New Products commercial assessments and/or pre-approval planning/launching is required; experience in Pricing and Market Access considerations in ex-US markets a plus.Experience working on a brand team and/or home office experience a plusStrong executive presence and ability to connect with senior leadership both internally and externally.You possess a strong science background with knowledge of cardiovascular disease, obesity or neurology.Have excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actional strategiesDemonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment, as it relates to commercialization in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industryAbility to grasp complex scientific concepts, clinical data and simplify it
