Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, Inc. (AILEY) is seeking an experienced individual to serve as our Education Product Manager, reporting to the Director of Information Technology within the Information Technology department. This is an onsite/hybrid position.
Position Summary:
AILEY, one of the world's premier dance institutions, seeks a professional whose tested product management experience, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills can expertly support our staff and help our organization flourish. We are looking for a Product Manager for various Ailey education systems who is adept and efficient at problem-solving. Specifically, we're looking for someone who can communicate with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand their needs, work closely with both their own internal team and external vendors to continually deliver on those needs, and support staff end-users to ensure their ever-improving use of and satisfaction with in-scope systems.

Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization comprised of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ailey II, The Ailey School, Ailey Extension, and Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs.
The organization's mission is to further the pioneering work of Alvin Ailey by establishing an extended cultural community which provides dance performances, training, and community programs for all people. As important as its artistic and educational missions, the Ailey organization plays a social role, using the beauty and humanity of the African American heritage and other cultures to inspire and unite people of all races, ages, and backgrounds.

A typical season includes engagements in its home base of New York City (five weeks each winter at New York City Center and two weeks each spring at Brooklyn Academy of Music), a 20-city national tour, and extensive international touring. Annually, nearly 500,000 people experience the Company's performances and programs.

Candidate Profile:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Education Product Manager will bring a high level of expertise in software product management and an unwavering focus on supporting the staff and organization in the most effective way possible, whether by training, support, outreach, or system improvements. This person must be an excellent communicator and advocate for leadership, staff, and constituents, as well as for the Education Product team and relevant external partners' capacity to deliver.
Responsibilities:Own and manage the improvement and maintenance of various Ailey education systems (including, but not limited to: PCR Educator, Mindbody Online, and Teachable) as well as related tools and systemsContinually prioritize fixes and improvements to strategically meet the variety of needs required for high quality organizational functionServe as subject matter expert for data, workflow, and process integration with other systems such as Salesforce CRM, General Ledger, and HR/PayrollOversee the implementation and use of Microsoft 365 for Education by staff and studentsManage the Education Product Team to meet the varied needs of healthy product managementEngage vendors and other outside resources as needed and actively manage those relationshipsTrack needs related to products and advocate as appropriate with product developers around key fixes and development prioritiesSupport users to learn and use the various systems effectively and to maintain a high level of data integrityWhen appropriate, implement or oversee under-the-hood configurations such as workflow automation, technical adjustments, and other improvements appropriate to be handled in-houseImplement or oversee data integrity audits and cleanups, data imports and exports, and data migrationsDrive and oversee the migration of all data currently residing in legacy systems and spreadsheetsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required3-5 years of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) administration experience, preferably in the Education market (e.g. Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, Microsoft 365 for Education, etc.)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsConsistent desire to solve problems and make the lives of fellow team members easierComfort using tools for shared task management and establishing strong processes for tracking work among team members and stakeholdersAbility to provide helpful instruction to audiences of varying technical abilityFocus on making it work-open-minded, willing to look at problems from multiple angles, with an appetite and patience for getting it right, iterating on systems and processes, and continuously improvingWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as neededCandidates with an intimate knowledge and appreciation for dance and/or the performing arts are preferredCompensation:
$80K-$90K.Benefits include health (including EAP services), dental insurance, flexible spending account, 403(b) retirement plan, and commuter benefits.
