Reporting to the Operations Manager or their delegate, the individual in the Field Service Technician (Asset Manager) role is responsible for servicing and maintain all Cleantek/Apollo's equipment. The Field Service Technician is fully and solely responsible for the client sites assigned to them. This role has a high degree of control and authority in managing equipment on client sites.
This is a dynamic role that will evolve to fit the needs of a quickly growing company. The incumbent will be a highly motivated and effective problem solver with a strong focus on customer service. The individual will thrive in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
First point of contact when customer receives equipmentAll service calls and client requests must be answered immediately within your area (weekends, evenings and holidays are not exempt)Responses to all service calls and client requests must be made on site within 24 hoursSupporting documentation following all service calls and site visits is required. Documentation includes but is not limited to: equipment inspections, deployment sheets, transportation sheets, JSA's/ safety documents, updating customer contact information, and updating sales teamSubmit daily reporting on assets and asset's performanceMonitor "Fleet Complete" to determine health of equipment on siteTrain customers (all shifts) on the proper use of the equipment and maintenanceBi-weekly site visits are required for equipment maintenance; this schedule is managed independently with the expectation that assets are managed in accordance with the company's policies and customer satisfaction is maintainedWhen required to transport equipment with company assets, you will be responsible for securing loads and verifying safe transport with all required documentation verifiedProvide on-site service of equipment; discussing issues with consultant, inspecting equipment and troubleshooting all issuesParticipate in special projects as requiredResponsible for the maintenance of tools and company equipment (including but not limited to company vehicle, computers, volt meter, field kit, etc.)Foster professional relationships with clients, external vendors and consultantsUnderstand client's equipment needs and identify potential up-sale opportunitiesAdhere to all safety requirements both internal and externalPromote and maintain the organization's brand image by keeping your appearance, work area and vehicle tidy.Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be knowledgeable of current safety regulations (including client's sites)Basic knowledge of: AC/DC electrical systems, hydraulic systems, engine maintenance (oil changes, changing air filters, replacing fuel pumps, etc.)Experience with hand tools, drills and volt metersWork with a high degree of independence; must be a self-starter and have organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Education, Training, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferredSome electrical and/or mechanical training preferredPervious experience in Oil & Gas industry preferredTDG, First Aid, H2S, WHMIS/GHS Tickets an asset.Special Conditions of Employment
Valid driver's license without restrictions (Drivers abstract will be pulled annually to meet insurance requirements)Must be able to meet drug and alcohol testing requirements of clientsExtensive lifting and standing is requireThe position is outdoors on field locations year round so must be prepared to work in all weatherPhysical fitness is a definite assetFlexibility to work over-time as neededAs part of the on-going training, you could be expected to help with servicing equipment at the shop, to help increase your knowledge of the Company's equipment.
