Senior Consolidation Accountant

Anaergia (TSX: ANRG), a global leader in offering sustainable solutions for the generation of renewable energy and the conversion of waste to resources, is looking for a full time Senior Consolidation Accountant that will handle the following tasks on a global level.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
This is a high-growth position that will play a critical role in global consolidation and international accounting under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP. This role will also prepare the financial statements and footnote schedules for public companies in both Canada and U.S..
The role will report to Sr. Financial Reporting Manager and will work closely with our external CPA firm (Deloitte) and all regional accounting teams in Europe, Asia, and Northa America. It is a hybrid position based in Carlsbad office, California, where there is a good accounting and tax team to work with.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Consolidate multiple global entities' books into monthly financial reporting package and quarterly SEDAR reports in Canada (similar to SEC reports in U.S.)Prepare excel supporting schedules for financial statements including cash flow worksheet, equity rollforward, and footnotes for quarterly SEDAR reports in Canada (similar to SEC reports in U.S.)Record accounting transactions on corporate book for accounts including cash, payroll, purchase, AP, intercompany, debt, equity, and stock-based compensation.Perform intercompany reconciliations among all entities on a monthly basis via researching for variances and proposing adjustments as needed.Perform data analysis and summary as needed for different financial reporting purposes.Design new reporting templates in Jet Reporting or on excel.Coordinate with other team members and departments to obtain information necessary to ensure accurate and timely consolidation with sufficient supporting files.Able to work with external auditors from Deloitte independently to provide quality trial balance and general ledger detail for the corporate book and the consolidation to CPA firm to review and audit. Can figure out the best approach to process audit requests and provide quickly.Support the Company's internal control implementation by working with internal audit team as needed.Assist with VP Controller for system implementations of new finance / accounting programs company-wide.Assist with Sr. Tax Accountant with accounting schedules needed for tax purposes.Other Adhoc. projects as assigned by the Sr. Financial Reporting Manager or VP Controller.WHAT YOU BRING:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Abundant experience with consolidation of multiple global entities financial statements.Good knowledge of both IFRS and U.S. GAAP.Exposure from international accounting with foreign entities in Europe, Canada, and Asia will add value.Hands-on experience in preparing financial report footnote schedules for public companies such as SEDAR reports in Canada and/or SEC reports in the U.S.Used accounting systems such as Microsoft D365, Active Disclosure, Shareworks, and Jet Reporting, or similar systems.Top skills in excel and analytics.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Able to work efficiently and meet deadline in fast-paced and dynamic environment.Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.Minimum 2 years of relevant experience on consolidation and intercompany reconciliation, preferably from a medium-to-top CPA firms, or with a combination of experiences from both public accounting and publicly traded companies.CPA license preferred though not required.Experience in construction or environmental or other relevant industry preferred.WHAT WE PROVIDE:
