ResponsibilitiesJob Purpose
The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting will support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures, and any other ad-hoc reporting and investor filings.
This position will also support the preparation of annual audits, individual project-level annual audit reports and/or financial statement preparation. This position will, in collaboration with the Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting team and Accounting Managers, work with commercial and finance professionals across the organization to support and analyze transactions and their related disclosure requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS (i.e., footnote support schedules, tie-outs and disclosure checklists)
Perform or assist with ad-hoc or special projects as assigned
Prepare equity roll forward at individual project and consolidated level
Review accounting transactions for disclosure requirements
Review contracts for purposes of identifying potential accounting issues or commitments/contingencies
Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes and record journal entries
Assist in consolidation of trial balances and identifying intercompany variances
Support external and internal audit related activities
Review and aggregate financial statement variance analysis
Collaborate with other departments to gain a working knowledge of operations affecting financial and management reporting
QualificationsExperience/Qualifications/Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A CPA certification and/or graduate degree in Accounting is highly desirable. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience. A thorough understanding of US GAAP accounting standards is required, with a strong GAAP technical accounting skill-set with broad knowledge and experience of external reporting requirements (some SEC-level experience preferred). Experience in the power generation or energy industry and knowledge of applicable industry accounting standards and interpretations is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret accounting rules and guidance as well as perform research and conduct investigations as necessary.
The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,00 - $120,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
