Gymnastics Program Coordinator

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
As a Gymnastics Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing departmental support for the administration and operation of team gymnastics programming under the direct supervision of the Senior Gymnastics Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in planning part time staff interviews, events, trainings, meetings and gymnastics meets.Create lesson plans and curriculum for quality programming.Provide resources and new programming ideas for gymnastics events and programs.Assist in creating and monitoring staff schedules to maintain proper ratios.Provide support and advice related to working with gymnast’s behaviors and needs.Assist with staff and program evaluations working alongside director regarding program success and areas in need of improvement.Provide support in the supervision all part time instructors and volunteers.Assist in monitoring staff hours to stay within budget and make adjustments as needed.Monitor monthly budget and make recommendations for adjustments to program director.Coordinate parent communication and attend to parent concerns.Support volunteer booster club leadership; ensure clear communication of duties and tracking of revenue and expense.Provide administrative assistance including but not limited to the distribution, processing, and maintenance of all paperwork, records, reports, memos, correspondence, inventory, and resupply.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.One to two years related experience as a coordinator of people or activities preferred.Ability to use computer and typical business software and office machines.Positive attitude and previous experience with children and diverse populations.Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, and file maintenance.CPR, First Aid, AED certifications preferred.Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.Wage:
$19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications

Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
