Job Description:

The Manufacturing Technician B will provide support to the production line with unit alignment, assembly, rework and testing.

Essential Responsibilities:

Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructionsAssemble, align, rework and test systems, components for optics assemblies and laser assemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirementsWork with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesivesComplete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bond/adhesives potentially with use of a microscopeMake fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit resultsOperate complex active alignment stations and toolingUse, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/toolsWorking knowledge of electronic, optical and mechanical assembliesPerform basic computer activities with programs providedIdentify, utilize, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as requiredDemonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematicsReport deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and obtain quality inspection when appropriateSupport Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvementMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety proceduresApply considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentCultivate a culture that assures effective cross-functional teamworkPerform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and proceduresDemonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company valuesConsistently at work and on-timeParticipate in a variety of meetings, committees and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve issues and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policiesAll other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Computer skills required (Excel, Word); LabView program preferredDemonstrated proficiency at operating 25%-50% of work stations as documented by training recordsPrior soldering and microscope use
