About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Global Network Management team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in engineering and deploying network fabric configurations to support our strategic 5G initiatives, focusing on Spine/Leaf fabric networks across western and southern territories.
Network Engineer ResponsibilitiesEngineer IP edge networks at Service Aggregation Points (SAP) and Transport Aggregation Points (TAP) to support 5G services configuration and migrationDesign and implement IP (L2/L3) and routing of spine/leaf network configurations using automated systems and Methods of Procedure (MOPs)Collaborate with Capacity Planning, Design, and Operations teams to implement strategic technology goals for the Spine/Leaf fabric platform (eNSE)Support migration of core elements to the Telecommunication Cloud Platform (VCP) and eNSEReview and validate MOPs/automation templates with peersProvide feedback to automation teams on workflow updatesOversee network builds from procurement to "In Service"Manage network engineering projects to meet deadlinesWork with peer teams to ensure networks meet key performance indicators (KPIs)Network Engineer Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant work experienceStrong experience with IP Layer 1-3 (IPv4/IPv6) for Edge NetworksExtensive knowledge of VXLAN and/or fabric networkingProven experience deploying network configurations for virtualized servicesHands-on experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and OSPF or IS-ISCisco (CCIE) or Nokia networking certificationsExperience building MOPs and leveraging automated configuration toolsStrong understanding of end-to-end call flows for network services deploymentPreferred Qualifications
Experience with Cisco (VTS), Nokia (Nuage), or Itential (IAP) automation toolsAdditional Information
Schedule: Regular daytime hours with occasional nighttime maintenance windowsThe Network Engineer will work closely with territories, edge, and design teams to create an environment of teamwork and cooperationPosition involves supporting strategic technology goals and ongoing platform migrations
