Overview
A Manufacturing Assembler plays a key role in Repligen Analytics success. They are responsible for performing the manufacturing process required to make our products. The Assembler will be cross trained in all functions of production. They are responsible for all aspects of fabrication from receiving the raw materials from inventory, building sub-assemblies/assemblies/and fiber optic, completing basic in-process inspection and documentation, accurately tracking their time and waste, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and self-inspection prior to final QA Inspection. There are a variety of forms to be completed, documents to follow (i.e.. daily production logs, work instructions, maintenance logs, epoxy instructions, work order traveler), and interface with computer programs.
Assemblers needs to have a commitment to quality, willingness to learn and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The Assembler needs to be able to manage multiple tasks, deliver completed product in accordance with designated schedules, can remain engaged, be detail oriented and have pride in their work.
Responsibilities
The assembler will be responsible to:
• Assemble components to a final configured product utilizing process and drawing instructions and specialized tooling and fixtures, measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Reads and interprets parts lists, operations sheets and visual aids.
• Verify quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work.
• Perform in-process quality checks for specific quality attributes and defects.
• Follow technical instructions written (prints, work instructions, standard operating procedures) and verbal.
• Completes necessary manufacturing records legibly and accurately.
• Ability to accurately read measurement tools and perform basic math calculations.
• Uses basic laboratory equipment to build and inspect (hand tools, torque, microscopes, calipers, scales, etc).
• Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Possess fine motors skills to put small parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
• Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
• Must have the ability to wear protective personal equipment as manufacturing steps are performed in an environmentally controlled area.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years' experience in production/manufacturing environment
• Possess manual dexterity to put parts/pieces together quickly and accurately.
• Basic computer skills to utilize bar code scanners, documents, logs
• Handling of small parts/devices/tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally, in writing, and to listen
• Work with chemicals such as acetone, alcohol, hydrogen, epoxies
