Overview
**This is a Remote position. Candidates must reside in California.**
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
Institutional Review Board (IRB) review and is a federal regulatory requirement to conduct human subjects research at CHLA. The team is responsible for reviewing and confirming the regulatory aspects of proposed research for submission to the IRB. Under supervision, supports the efficiency of the Human Subjects Protection Program in the areas of protocol reviews, liaison with the Institutional Review Board, and simple to moderately complex correspondence. Responsible for tracking submissions, database management, and preparation and sending of correspondence. Assists investigators with preparation of basic and moderately complex IRB submissions. Develops and maintains knowledge of current federal and state regulations pertaining to the conduct of research and administration of IRBs. Attends local, regional, or annual national IRB presentations and conferences such as PRIM&R and ARENA in order to maintain professional knowledge and expertise. Prepares detailed, simple and moderately complex correspondence advising investigators of IRB feedback and study status for the Chair/Chair designee review and signature.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
1+ years IRB experience.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
Pay Scale Information
$58,240.00-$104,832.00
