Senior Manager - FP&A - North American Operations , you will support the management of all the financial aspects of the North American Operations. The role will report directly to the Director - FP&A North American Operations.
This newly created position will help the director in transforming the North American Finance role from a support function to a leadership role. By overseeing the financial performance of the North American operations, she/he will work with the director and business units to improve their performance, build and guide the strategic plans, budgeting, forecasting, business case reviews and financial analysis specific to our retail operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in finance and preferably within the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Director to create budget targets aligned with strategic plans, support all internal reporting and offer insights, analysis and commentary to stakeholders while challenging the business as needed.Deliver excellent stakeholder management, up and across the organization. Ensure active engagement of all stakeholders, and appropriate challenge inputs.Work with the Business Units to understand risk/opportunities and develop action plans to mitigate the risks and look for areas to leverage those opportunities across the organizations.Through the support of the FP&A team, conduct regular financial analyses, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights into business performance. Identify efficiencies, opportunities, and risks, and propose mitigation / execution plans as necessary.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, reporting standards and industry best practice, working closely with Global finance teams where necessary.Strive to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial systems, removing wherever possible non-value add effort (aligning proper reporting required), and putting the right information in the hands of senior leadership as timely and efficient a way as possible.Ensure financials are augmented with non-financial information, cost drivers are clearly understood, drive topline profitability analysis and reporting, to support commercial decision making and our annual assessment of value process.Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies (acquisitions and dispositions) and provide financial guidance and insights to support strategic decision-making processes.Take a stake in the financial evaluation of the Capex investment working closely with the capex office. Ensure strategic investment capital is optimally allocated, and that in-project & post-project reviews surface lessons learnt.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the retail industry.
Strong financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
Excellent leadership, contagious passion & energy.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence up and across the organization.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, Power BI, AI software (are strong assets)
