POSITION SUMMARY :
You will be responsible for scheduling of the individual transportation needs of our residents.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to pay close attention to the details and showcase your outstanding communication, customer service, organizational and problem-solving abilities. You will be the initial point of contact for transportation concerns and to resolve issues.
The Lead Transportation Coordinator will also assist with transporting residents when needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scheduling rides for residents that may include transportation to and from medical appointments and/or errands and communicating the confirmation details to the resident(s)Communicating daily transportation schedule to transportation team, including revisions (add-ons/cancellations) to drivers at the beginning and throughout the dayAssisting with updating processes & systems for the Transportation department as needs changeCoordinate driver training as neededMaintain and coordinate regular maintenance and cleaning schedule for vehiclesDrive residents to and from appointments and/or errands as needed as acting driver on the teamQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must be 21 years or olderAbility to read a map and familiarity with the Denver metro area preferredMust be able to drive a company vehicle (town car and 14 passenger van)Must possess a current driver's license and meet approved driver requirementsProficient typing and computer skills, including experience using Microsoft OfficeEffective verbal and written communication skills requiredMust be comfortable using hands-free devices in the vehicles (i.e. Bluetooth) and understand how to properly navigate by GPSDemonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family membersAbility to communicate openly, honestly and responsibly with othersAbility to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrityAbility to accept responsibility for agreements made and follow through as appropriateAbility to read, speak, and understand the English languagePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Lift up to 30 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
