Reporting to the Chief Safety Officer, the Manager of Safety Analytics ensures accurate and timely compilation of performance data and compelling communications of the safety practice across the Beacon Mobility platform. Collaborating with cross functional teams, this position is responsible for supporting the Chief Safety Officer in driving the communication and execution of the organization's goals.
This role requires highly effective analysis and presentation creation skills. This individual must be driven by a desire to discover the why and empower people to act.
The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate significant competence in:
• conducting advanced data collection and analysis,
• creating and updating web-based reports and dashboards such as PowerBI/Origami Risk, and
• creating clear and compelling communication materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Manage, compile and analyze data to identify contributing factors, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve value realization.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using Excel, PowerBI and other web-based programs.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Communicate complex data insights and analysis results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, comprehensive and actionable manner.
• Prepare material for newsletters, town hall meetings and campaigns to enhance efficient service delivery and communicate value creation.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Evaluate the impact of implemented strategies on the company's culture and financial performance.
• Assist in driving initiatives with limited resources demonstrating strong collaboration and a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude to achieve desired results
• Technical Support:
• Support the integration, utilization and ongoing development of data analytics tools such as PowerBI and safety performance tools DriveCam by Lytx and Origami Risk.
• Prepare and present technical training materials for safety leaders and front-line employees, leveraging external partners and internal subject matter experts.
Qualification Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in data analysis, preferably in transportation.
• 5+ years' experience in a business environment creating presentations, compiling and analyzing data, and collaborating with resources at all levels of the organization.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including statistical functions and advanced analysis tools.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to create professional and impactful presentations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex information to various audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with multiple diverse groups of employees.
• Unquestionable personal integrity, fairness, and credibility necessary to gain trust and commitment.
• Ability to travel up to 35%
Preferred qualifications:
• Significant experience in commercial passenger transportation safety, education, and training.
• Previous success in supporting operations governed by FMCSA, FTA, DOT and OSHA.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
