What You'll Do:
Become the expert for all the company's expenses; responsible for the preparation and oversight of all items related to expenses including the month-end close process, associated balance sheet account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and related reporting and disclosureMaintain fixed assets, including capitalized software, on an ongoing basis, including tracking work-in-process assets, maintaining capital expenditure spreadsheets, processing asset sales/retirements, communicating with operations managers to ensure asset listings are complete, and recording depreciation/amortization expenseDrive insightful and actionable analytics; tracking expenses, analyzing month-over-month variances, and communicating anomalies to leadership for follow upOwn primary financial communications by managing the Finance inboxLead year-end audit requests related to expensesOversee and participate in the processing of accounts payableSupport the administration of expense reimbursement systemBuild weekly cash reporting to assist in cash flow projectionsPrepare monthly sale/use/excise tax report(s) and annual 1099s for reportingEnhance process documents for all related processes, policies and proceduresEnsure accurate and timely transaction processing, accounting & reporting in accordance with policies and US GAAPAssist in database maintenance and validationsApply technical accounting requirements for expense related items to company-specific situationsLead operational improvement initiatives to further streamline tasks and shorten the expense close calendarYou're a good fit if you are/have:
4+ years of experience accounting/financial management procedures and principlesBachelor's Degree in business/accounting or relatedAdvanced Excel, presentation building, and communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail; deriving immense satisfaction from solving and automating complex problemsTrack record of cross-functional collaboration, putting ideas into practice, and assessing resultsProactive, self-starter that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with continuous follow throughBias toward automation and working smarter, not harder; an enthusiasm for evolving and growing with our companyExcellent at translating financial analytics into actionable solutions that drive exponential change in alignment with corporate goalsExperience in quantitatively diagnosing financial issues and implementing solutionsExperience with online integrated accounting systems, data management tools and business software applicationsIt would be great if you:

For Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC.
