Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to help lead a Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). In this role, the Deputy PM will play a leading role on a large, mission-enabling nation-wide team providing network infrastructure, platform, system, application, and cybersecurity services for a federal customer. The contract will encompass a wide range of tasks including but not limited to: PMO functions; Monitoring and Analysis as well as Incident Response functions that include cybersecurity; Network Infrastructure Tier 3; and Field Engineering Technical Services. The candidate will be a key part of the program leadership team. Responsibilities include:Perform Deputy PM functions including guide, oversight, and reportingEngage with senior customer leadership regarding program priorities, technical and resource issuesProvide Cybersecurity subject matter expertise to team members and the customerServe as an expert if/as needed for response to cybersecurity incidentsCoordinate efforts of the SOC with other teamsTranslate technical cybersecurity issues into business terms that are easily understood by customersConduct cybersecurity business impact assessments and recommend improvements to the customer's cybersecurity strategies and capabilitiesSupport customer Zero Trust initiatives as part of strategic planning supportPerform root cause analysis on cybersecurity issues when neededEnsure reliable and effective reporting services, including shift activity logs and After Action ReportsSupport analysis related to high-visibility or high-workload investigations, and apprise customer of progress and risksPromote industry best practices for incident response, cybersecurity analysis, case and knowledge management, and SOC operationsProvide cybersecurity support to NOSC TeamsTrack emerging security practices and innovations and work with the customer to execute where appropriatePromote and drive implementation of automation and process efficienciesAudit event response and escalation documentation and processesGuide and mentor peers and subordinates to provide cross trainingPresent cybersecurity metrics to customer leadershipCollaborate with Government Watch Officers (GWOs) to address cybersecurity challengesMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree; equivalent work experience consideredTen (10+) years of IT and cybersecurity experienceAt least five (5) years of experience in a cybersecurity management roleKnowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principlesKnowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologiesKnowledge of cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policiesDemonstrated mastery of the lifecycle of cybersecurity threats, attacks, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)Knowledge of and experience with Log Management and AnalysisKnowledge of and experience with Incident Assessment and ResponseKnowledge of and experience with Threat Intel, Threat Hunting, Cyber Forensics, and Malware AnalysisKnowledge of and ability to apply various Intel Frameworks (e.g., Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND)Deep technical understanding of core current cybersecurity technologies as well as emerging capabilitiesExtensive leadership experience creating, building, and maintaining high-performing teams, particularly in a cybersecurity environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively cross-functional teams and customersHighly organized with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to mentor junior staffExperience managing teamsActive Top Secret Security SCI clearance with Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs & Border Protection (CBP) preferredCertification Requirement: CISSPThis position will typically be located in either Colorado Springs, CO, Stennis, MS, Chandler, AZ, National Capitol Region (NCR) or Remote where applicable. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, appropriate clearance level, and are geographically aligned (or the ability to relocate) will be considered first.

PMP and ITIL certificationsDOD 8570 IAM Level III and or DOD 8570 CND; and one more product vendor certsDHS experienceAdvanced knowledge in planning, directing, and managing Security Operations Center (SOC) operations for a large and complex enterprise4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
