WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Creative Director for Rio Las Vegas, you will play the lead role in creating visually compelling photo, video, and marketing materials that dynamically communicate our story, promote our resort's brand, and enhance the overall guest experience. You will be responsible for capturing and editing photo and video content for use on all mediums. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting Marketing's Graphic Designer, including the design of various print and digital assets, including advertisements, brochures, social media content, signage, promotional materials, and more.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:Photography & Videography:
Capture and edit high-quality images and video for use on all marketing channels with an emphasis on storytelling vs. selling.Creative Strategy:
Brainstorm and conceptualize ideas to support project objectives, marketing campaigns, brand development, and overall marketing strategy.Art Direction : Manage all photo shoot planning including artboard & creative direction, talent selection, logistics coordination, styling, and content review / selection in collaboration with VP Marketing as well as Brand & Digital Marketing colleagues to ensure alignment on all brand assets.Collaboration:
Work closely with advertising agencies and marketing team to understand project requirements, target audience, and marketing goals. Provide creative guidance and feedback to any outside resources.Leadership:
Manage and oversee the professional development of creative team member(s). Ensure direct reports comply with team and company policies.Graphic Design:
Create visually appealing graphics, illustrations, and layouts for both print and digital media.Brand Consistency:
Maintain and uphold the resort's brand identity and ensure that all creative materials align with the brand guidelines.Marketing Collateral:
Develop marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and banners to promote resort facilities, events, and special offers.Digital Media:
Design graphics for the resort's website, social media channels, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns.Signage : Design and update signage for the resort, including wayfinding signs, room signage, and event banners.Print Production:
Prepare and format files for print, ensuring high-quality output.Trends and Innovation:
Stay updated on design trends, software tools, and industry best practices to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the design process.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has one direct report - Graphic Designer.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or design, or equivalent experience in a related field.Minimum six to eight years of experience in marketing, advertising, and digital marketing with a concentration in content creation, social media, and graphic design.Proven experience in photography, videography, and graphic design, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and ideas.Must be comfortable with interacting and continual communications with C-level, VP and other senior management level positions, including daily interactions as well as the ability to build and present comprehensive presentation decks to leadership.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of photo, video, and design work.Knowledge of digital design principles, UX/UI, and responsive design is a plus.Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from team members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.At least 21 years of age.PREFERRED
Ability to create motion graphics and animations.Ability to create compelling copy in alignment with brand creative.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
