Responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, fabrication and assembly, cost reduction initiatives, processing of engineering changes, and introduction of new Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) products including but not limited to mini-splits, packaged units and VRV. Develop high level strategic project plans, execute capital projects, and perform significant activities requiring multi-functional teams. Establish continuous improvement goals and execute action plans. Lead, train, and mentor manufacturing engineering personnel in ISO 9000 systems and Lean manufacturing. Establish, plan, and direct manufacturing engineering activities and priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. Utilize proven lean manufacturing abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, workflow improvements, estimating, project analysis, technology development, and core manufacturing skill set. Support DOE, 8D, FMEA, 6 Sigma, and DFP analysis and implementation of Kaizen activities. Provide direction to and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and support staff. Work with Design Engineers to revise and sustain HVAC product designs, utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles. Provide manufacturing technical resource to Design Project teams. Develop and manage project schedules related to existing product launches or design modifications. Document product designs by preparing bills of materials, cost analyses, drawings, and engineering change requests. Assist in redesigning internal components to improve overall long term system quality, improve efficiency and reduce cost. Develop engineering solutions to product related issues through problem solving and root cause analysis techniques. Participate on cross functional teams to launch product modifications, resolve issues, and support product improvements. Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget. Develop suppliers for manufacturing equipment, develop key suppliers, and create an environment of continuous improvement in equipment UPTIME, EFFICIENCY, & QUALITY. Create preventive maintenance that effectively maintains the equipment in optimal form without the need for short cutting the quality or machine capability. Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.

Minimum Education Requirement : Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

Minimum Experience Requirement : Five (5) years of experience as an Engineer with a high-volume HVAC manufacturer with Residential and/or Commercial HVAC and refrigeration product design, engineering product development and executing new products into market, including five (5) years of systems engineering experience designing complex HVAC systems and architectures and experience delivering major HVAC projects and working with global teams in different regions to deliver projects.
