Manufacturing Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team in Tulsa, OK. This role will join a $1B+ revenue business focusing in the Energy, Infrastructure, and Agriculture space, with a distinct focus on sustainability and innovation.

This role is designed for a strategic leader skilled in advancing manufacturing processes, managing projects, and driving innovation across a growing operation.

Role Overview:

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll guide and mentor a team of engineers to optimize production and drive cost-effective solutions that align with the company's long-term goals. You'll manage capital projects from inception through installation, engage in advanced problem-solving to support productivity and safety improvements, and collaborate with lean teams to implement continuous improvement practices, such as Kaizen events and 5S methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and supervise the Manufacturing Engineering team, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals.
  • Manage capital and expense projects by overseeing project identification, analysis, justification, and execution.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues related to cost reduction, capacity planning, safety, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Partner with lean teams to cultivate a lean culture using Kaizen events, 5S, and other lean tools.
  • Design and develop in-house tools, fixtures, and programs.
  • Analyze manpower needs, budgetary requirements, and manage expenditures.
  • Establish workflows, set guidelines, and prioritize schedules to meet manufacturing, sales, and customer demands.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, standards, and new technologies to inform competitive positioning and improvements.
  • Manage operational costs and material usage to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee technical expertise in manufacturing processes, finishing systems, and cost-related aspects of engineering.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing engineering component of long-range planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years in manufacturing engineering.
  • Proven success in managing engineering professionals, motivating teams, and achieving shared objectives.
  • Strong capabilities in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and overseeing large-scale projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product end-use, design elements, and manufacturing applications.
  • Excellent skills for technical and non-technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
  • Background in Lean manufacturing methodologies.
