The Role
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Grapevine, TX location to create, optimize, and manage the processes involved in the refurbishment on our filtered water systems, including bottleless water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers, and coffee brewers. The goal of this role will be to utilize Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban and other continuous improvement methodologies to create a center of excellence in our Grapevine, TX facility. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager of Refurbishment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for refurbishing products
- Lead initiatives to implement Lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Kanban, to streamline refurbishment operations
- Continuously evaluate and optimize existing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality
- Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation
- Train and mentor production staff on new and existing processes, tools, and technologies
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kanban, etc.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with HVAC/R concepts a plus
- Reliable, Energetic, and Problem Solver
- Ability to think on one’s feet and learn rapidly without a great deal of supervision
- Must be disciplined, self-motivated, and able to meet team goals
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong command of company’s policies and procedures
- A desire to continually increase your knowledge of the industries we serve; and, products, services and processes our company can produce
