Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to for a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in the preparation of litigation actions and manage the complexities of the legal process efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in the preparation of litigation actions, including drafting pleadings and responses to discovery demands.Handle extensive document production, coordinating the preparation and timely distribution of information.Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and accessible.Coordinate with management personnel to provide documents in response to discovery requests.Analyze legal documents, catalog exhibits, and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared.Conduct legal research, perform cite checks, and assist in the preparation of legal briefs.Monitor case progress, managing all related litigation support tasks.Perform additional tasks and assignments as required to support the legal team.Initiate and maintain legal holds using appropriate software.Stay informed about court deadlines and procedural rules, ensuring compliance with all submission requirements.Maintain electronic document repositories and utilize document review platforms/software.Handle e-filing of documents on PACER and NYSEF systems.Qualifications:
Strong background in drafting discovery responses and various types of motions.Extensive experience in processing authorizations.Proficiency in legal research, document production, and litigation support.Experience with legal holds, e-filing, and document management systems.#ZR
