Job Title: Sr. Agile CoachAgile Coach helps a teams or individual adopt and improve agile methods and practice. A coach helps people rethink and change the way they go about development. The coach can help teams apply agile and lean thinking to the specific environments and impediments they face. Working as an advisor, the coach can help the team adapt the methodology to their situation, and help them challenge the existing environment.
Responsibilities:• Partner with Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, and other Agilists to develop
comprehensive coaching plans designed to improve agile ways of working at the
portfolio, product, and team levels.• Act as a key change agent and lead others through transformation at the executive level
as well as coach and mentor key roles in the portfolio.• Be pragmatic in coaching and adapt the frameworks and tools in agile toolkit to
impact streamlined delivery, improve quality, and ensure teams are achieving
business outcomes and value delivery.• Thoughtfully develop and advance transformation roadmap at the portfolio level that is
customer-centric, and business outcome focused• Partner with portfolio leadership for strategic business agility planning• Advise leaders on team topologies structured to streamline value delivery• Facilitate agile maturity assessments and guide leaders & teams in continual
improvement activities• Teach, mentor, and coach individuals, teams and team of teams on agile
practices• Contribute to the development and evolution of Agile Standards across the
organization• Leverage experimentation and rapid learning to improve agile practices and
delivery outcomes• Utilize information radiators, agile artifacts, metrics and reporting to guide
direction and measure impacts• Encourage and coach business leaders to focus on outcomes over outputs and establish
clear key results• Model agile behaviors and servant leadership with a drive for relentless improvement• Develop self-organized/managed teams and team of teams
Qualifications specific to this role:
o Bachelor's Degree in IT related fields
o 5+ years of experience coaching at the portfolio level or higher
o Expert skills and knowledge in Agile frameworks (Agile, Lean, Scrum, XP, etc)
o Embodied servant leadership
o Excellent skills in facilitation, conflict resolution, and empowerment
o Experience using ALM tools (AHA, JIRA, Confluence)
o Experience using agile assessment platforms (AgilityHealth) to guide
performance driven coaching outcomes• Preferred qualifications specific to this role:
o Master's Degree in IT related fieldso Certifications such as ICAgile Certifications in Coaching, Facilitation, and/or Business
Agility Foundations (ICP-ACC, ICP-ACF, ICP-BAF), CSM Certifications (CSM, CSP-SM),
AgilityHealth (AHF - Facilitator, CIC (Continuous Improvement Champion)
