About the job Release Train Engineer (SaFE Certified: $96k to $135k)The Agile Release Train Engineer will utilize industry proven frameworks and drive the appropriate Agile Methodology (Kanban / SCRUM, etc.) that focuses on predictable, quality-delivery, and drive continuous improvement. The Agile Release Train Engineer will assist teams to deliver at scale while improving how the teams work and function.
What You'll Get to Do:•Create an environment of mutual influence with client and team members•Apply systems thinking and support teams in problem identification, decision-making•Maintain Train-level dashboard reporting to track execution•Track and escalate impediments, and manage risks and dependencies•Coach teams and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and thinking•Support Agile coaching activities across program trains to elevate the Program's application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)•Facilitate groups and meetings that includes the pre-work, the facilitation during the meetings, and the follow-up. Team size ranges from 2-3 to 150
•Manage Train-wide processes, including:
o Support preparation for and facilitation of Train meetings and processes, including Agile ceremonies and quarterly release planning activities
o Identify and pursue opportunities to fine-tune and improve Train execution, recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows based on broad view of the organization and a Lean Agile mindset
o Support other functions of the Digital Transformation Office, as needed•Influence client decisions and behavior regularly, increasingly at a senior level, resulting in clear commercial benefits for Capco•Cross-Team Delivery
o Complex Facilitation / Dependency Management Techniques - Cross-Team / Cross-Department
o Develop Portfolio Management Systems with the Product Management Team
o Manage Internal / External Initiatives / Develop Tracking Mechanism within JIRA - JIRA / JIRA Align
o Drive Cross-Team / ART / Departmental Impediments / Planning / Collaboration / Coordination
o Drive Delivery / Continuous Improvement by Utilizing Feedback Metrics (Delivery Rate / Quality, etc.)
o Work Across Stakeholders / Teams to Continuously Improve
o Understand Domain Architecture / Upstream and Downstream Dependencies
o Understand the Business Context / Leverage Context to Manage Risk / Prioritize the Teams
o Provide Regular / Open Communication Across the Program / Stakeholders for Transparency / Awareness of Progress / Impediments, etc.
o Assist in Establishing Governance Structure - Decision Making is Weighted Toward Empowered Teams
o Leverage Quantitative / Qualitative Research / Analytics Tools to Measure Success / Present Opportunities / Make Recommendations / Support Evidence-Based Decision Making, etc.
o Actively Drive for Deep Understanding of the Needs, Goals of Associates, and Lines-of-Business / Enable Creation of Platforms, Products, and Services that Serve Multiple Needs
o Influence Cross-Divisional Leaders in the Prioritization of New Features / Capabilities
o Proactively Identify Impediments on Critical Path / Actively Remove Impediments, etc.•Coaching Focus
o Teach / Mentor / Coach Teams - SCRUM Masters / ARTs / Product Teams Emerging on Agile / Lean / XP Methods, etc.
o Act as Coach to Any Agile Role / Stakeholder
o Lead in a Variety of Opportunities - Communities of Practice / Conferences / Classroom Training / Independent Study to Develop Staff / Community, etc.

Requirements:•Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) - Mentor / Coach SCRUM Masters / ARTs / Product Teams•SCRUM / Agile Methodology (5+ years) - SCRUM Master / SAFe Agile / Lean-Agile / Agile XP, etc.•Agile Coach (2+ years) -Create and/or Improve Agile Processes / Best Practices / Integration / Measure Results•VSTS Experience if desired•People Management Experience (5+ years)
PREFERRED (not required)•CSM - Certified SCRUM Master (SCRUM Alliance)•CSP - Certified SCRUM Professional (SCRUM Alliance)•ACP - Agile Certified Professional (PMI)•Agile and/or Professional Coaching Certifications•PMP - Project Management Professional (PMI)•Lean / Agile / Six Sigma Certified•SAFe Certification / Scaled Agile Framework Certifications
What You'll Bring with You•A bachelor's degree or master's degree with 5+ years of experience•4 years of project management experience with proven project management skills•Experience with Agile methodologies; Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) SPC or RTE certification strongly preferred•Strong analytical, oral and written communication, presentation skills; Advanced MS Office skills•Ability to navigate through ambiguity, set direction, and influence those not under direct line of management•Technical aptitude to support program's use of work management and collaboration tools•Experience in working with senior management and leadership team•Experience with digital products or consumer facing technology enabled products is helpful
