Closing Date:11/11/2024SUMMARY: The Athletic Director is responsible for all aspects of athletic events. Supervise all coaches and athletic and game management employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific tasks and/or activities under each of the following responsibilities will be assigned by the Supervisor.Organize, manage and evaluate the athletic program.Be physically present during the hours of practices and home contests to provide direction and supervision for the athletic activities.Screen, interview and recommend finalists in athletic personnel to the Principals.Prepare an annual budget and manage the approved budget to insure fiscal responsibility.Oversee the control, maintenance and inventory of all athletic equipment.Oversee the compliance with the regulations of the Conewgo Valley School Board, the YAIAA and the PIAA.Develop all schedules and submit them for approval to the High School Principal.Prepare and coordinate (with the Assistant Superintendent for Administration) all transportation needs associated with the athletic program.Schedule and assign all game management and emergency personnel.Schedule physical exams.Schedule, plan and facilitate athletic award functions.Report any unusual incidents occurring at athletic events to the appropriate administrator.Oversee the cancellation and rescheduling of athletic events.Prepare and coordinate (with the Facilities department) all outside facility needs associated with the athletic program.Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
