Position Summary
The Senior Accountant reports to the Corporate Controller. This role performs general accounting duties, prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, participates in the financial close process, and addresses ad-hoc questions from locations on their financial performance/journal entry impacts. The Senior Accountant also performs location-level detergent cost reviews for potential follow up, analyzes location-level utility costs, and calculates sales and use tax impacts for Minnesota operations. This role will also be heavily involved in starting up corporate internal audit processes for Crew.

Strong attention to detail and natural curiosity to understand and accurately explain variancesReview location-level detergent costs against Crew established standards, along with timely follow ups on variancesAnalyze location-level utility costs, reviewing for variance explanationsCalculate sales and use tax impacts for Minnesota operationsDrive start up processes around corporate internal auditsPrepare various journal entries, reconciliations, and general support for both the carwash and property management operationsConstruct balance sheet reconciliations, research, and resolve variances - proactively bring up concerns to managementAssess existing processes for potential improvement opportunities and help drive continuous improvement throughout CrewParticipate in annual external auditAssist with annual budget processGeneral participation in financial close processPerform ad hoc requests and reports to completion with accuracyPosition Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years' experience in Accounting/FinanceStrong attention to detailCuriosity to understand and learnAnalytically mindedPositive, optimistic attitudeAbility to manage time and prioritizeDesire to learn and improve processesExcellent communication skillsStrong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPointWe're really in the people business, we just happen to wash cars!
