Summary:

The Production Scheduler position will lead Planning and Production Scheduling initiatives to support Waudena. This position will work cross functionally to establish operational efficiencies through planning and scheduling, enabling the business to meet customer satisfaction. Will lead supply & demand planning and report on actual customer demands, trends and forecasts and adjust internal planning and scheduling strategies accordingly.

Duties to include (not limited to):Drives continuous improvement, high product fill rates, and streamlines workflow in a dynamic fast paced environmentDevelop forecasting and consumption models to improve planning accuracy and demand planningLong range planning while considering inventory levels, lead times, product life cycles, and production capacityAnalyze historical data trends and forecasting models to aid in demand planning and develop consumption models to improve planning accuracy as well as develop stocking strategies in a make to order environmentDevelopment of planning horizon sufficient to plan the labor, equipment, facilities, and materials required to accomplish the production plan/forecastEngaged and integral role the SIOP processSupport a make-to-order production model for Waudena ProductsProvide clear communication to the business regarding product availability and timingIdentify and strategically resolve product availability issues as neededWork closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues, as requiredSupport key initiatives relative to the business plan, the distribution plan, the materials plan and the production planEngage in operations planning, master scheduling, and materials requirements planningThe Production Scheduler will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex dataHands-on work with spreadsheets and model setups are required in this roleAbility to think critically and use modern technology in the planning and scheduling processFamiliarity with today's best practices, processes, and concepts of buying, planning, and schedulingEffectively communicate at all levels within the organizationAbility to prioritize tasks and meet expected goals on timeHighly developed planning and organizational abilitiesAbility to work on multiple projects with limited directionDemonstrated ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and customer serviceEnthusiasm and a positive approach to problem-solvingEducation / Experience:

BS degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field, and/or experience in planning/scheduling.Microsoft Excel proficiency requiredPlanning and Scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredAPICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified in Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) a plusLean or Green Belt Six Sigma certification a plus
