Lalor Family Dental is a growing, multi-office dental practice bringing over 60 years of experience in the dental field. Looking for career-focused individuals with positive attitudes and customer service centered mindset. Our company is seeking a skilled IT System Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems while providing support to our users.
This position is ON-SITE (no remote option available)
Skills & Abilities:
Manages the computing environment by implementing system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring performance. Responsible for installing and maintaining server OS and software, ensuring data backups, and securing servers from unauthorized access. Oversee the provisioning, installation, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software. Handles all activities related to the operation of company computers and peripherals, including installation, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Provides recommendations for hardware and software purchases and participates in business recovery planning.
Manage server back-ups, application updates. Assist with networking issues and troubleshoot system outages.Maintain documentation and inventory of the IT environment and participate in cross-training of IT systems and procedures.Participate in helpdesk ticket resolution for all offices and remote staff in an efficient manner, with on-call / off-shift rotations.Coordinate all end-user hardware and software upgrades effectively with an emphasis on strategic planning.Assist with business system routine processes.Exemplify core values of integrity, commitment, innovative thinking, customer service, and teamwork.Handle the more complex issues that a Level 1 support specialist is unable to resolve.Perform hands-on work (hardware support and some dental-specific) and travel to/from dental offices in supporting all IT issues.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent with 2 or more years of experience OR Associate Degree in Information Technology or equivalent with 4 years of experience OR Relevant experience in the field learned in the past 4-5 years with 6 years of experienceIndustry certifications preferredNetworking experience preferredValid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:
