Job Purpose:
The Accountant III – General Ledger is a critical role responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role will expected to help with improving accounting processes, including the use of the ERP system and will be the point of contact for the audit team during the annual financial audit.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Reconcile monthly payroll reports to the GL and prepare month-end accrualsMaintain prepaid items subledger and amortize the expense accordinglyPrepare allowance for bad debt calculation and the corresponding journal entriesPrepare monthly allocation entries and balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with year-end closing process and drafting of financial statements, including roll-forwards and footnotes related to intangible assets and intercompany transactions.Handle all sales tax filings and the corresponding journal entriesAssist with external and internal auditsDocument accounting processes and proceduresAssist with budget/forecast, insurance renewals and tax filingsRequirements:
Degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA candidate preferred5-7 years of experience in accountingExperience with financial close software, like Blackline or Floqast preferredEffective communicator with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationAttention to detail, adaptable in dynamic environmentsExperience with accounting systems, like Epicor, SAP, OracleExcellent MS 365 skills, especially Excel

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements :
Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required. Employee also share the responsibility to perform routine housekeeping activities such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning and changing trash can liners.
