About - Gesa Credit UnionRole Summary:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of a diverse scope and range of Facility Infrastructure improvements and Capital Construction projects ensuring consistency with the credit union strategy, commitments, and goals. This includes, but is not limited to, development and deployment of new equipment, materials, technology, and services across all facets of the construction process. This position has advanced to expert, wide-ranging job knowledge, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time (everything from planning, permitting, and thru-out the construction process, to a finished project). The Construction Project Manager maintains a mature state of professional development and seeks continuous improvement to the Project Management role and processes within the Facilities Department. They can act as a mentor, provide coaching, and conduct training as needed.

What You Will Be Doing:Operate at a high level of the company combining an in depth understanding of the commercial construction industry and the operations of the Credit Union.In coordination with the VP of Construction Management and the Facilities Manager, prepare and execute project plans on approved remodel, capital and facilities improvement projects. Review project plans and milestones to ensure project plans are being followed on a timely basis and deliverables are met. Manage the process and team to accomplish project goals.In coordination with the VP of Construction Management and Facilities Manager, define and document the project scope, goals/milestones, tasks, required resources, and schedules.In coordination with the VP of Construction Management and Facilities Manager, develop and monitor the annual Construction Services budget.Understand construction cost accounting.Create and maintain submittal logs and project files.Ability to review and examine project submittals.Accurately maintain all assigned project accounts and ledgers as well as department expenses in comparison to the approved budget.Prepare project reports for upper-level management review within assigned schedule.Track progress, prepare reports, organize, and facilitate project meetings.Assist with procurement related tasks that include quote requests, receiving of materials, returns, and coordination of material distribution for construction related projects.Actively participate in obtaining and submitting of proposals, negotiations with external vendors, conducting cost comparisons, and contract awards.Manage and implement project changes through the established change control processes to achieve completion. Acts as a liaison to expediate projects or problems resolution as it relates to product development, system upgrades, and new releases, and assesses system training issues.Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with credit union team members.Initiate and maintain contractor relationships for the accomplishment of assigned duties.Maintain knowledge of contracts and ensure all follow all related federal and state regulations.Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, and seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of, and adhere to, policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.Lead by example by always displaying solid ethics and integrity.Control risk and operate in a safe manner.Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge.Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.About You:

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Eight plus, years of proven commercial Construction Project Management experienceFour-year college degree with emphasis in Construction Management, Project Management or Cost Accounting or equivalent years of direct experience and training.Experience with cost estimating, budget creation, contracts, purchase orders, job cost accounting, and other documentation associated with procurement and project management in a commercial construction environment.Working knowledge/experience with CAD or other computer drafting software tools preferred.Experience with Construction Scheduling Software.Proficiency with standard office equipment and reporting software.Excellent verbal, written, listening and conflict management skills.Effective people skills to deal with a range/variety of people at all levels of the organization.Strong project and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple large complex projects simultaneously.Works independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members.Maintains a high level of confidentiality.Ability to work across the organization at all levels with a wide range of skillsets and styles.Effectively use the soft skills needed for effective project management.Ability and willingness to travel in the Northwest as needed.
