Your Role:
EMD Electronics is hiring an Operational Specialist. The Operational Specialist is responsible for streamlining the Order Execution Processes, providing process and software expertise, managing overall inventory, and ownership of planning KPIs.
Responsibilities:
SAP ERP Expert/Power User:
Act as owner for strategic SAP job roles for order execution including production planningAct as key user in global ERP projects ensuring successful implementation into DS&S (Delivery Services & Solutions) business
Streamline processes:
Identify opportunities for improvement and optimize workflows utilizing MRP functionality and current tools across departments
Inventory review management:
Lead the inventory Review Board to manage inventory levels, determine disposition for slow moving inventory, ensure safety stock levels are properly set, and review inventory overages - oversee sub-teams executing disposition
Create/maintain procedures:
Develop, train, and distribute procedures and protocols for operational execution of supply chain planning
Onboarding and training:
Train new employees to ensure they follow standard operating procedures and standard utilization of software (SAP, SolidWorks Manage, SharePoint)
Analyzing data:
Conduct data analysis to aid in informed strategic decisions
Mentoring:
Mentor and develop mid-level and junior operations staff
KPI oversight:
Monitor creation of planning KPIs for DS&S plants (On-time Delivery, Capacity Utilization and On-time in Full)
Work with Supply Chain Digitization Expert to develop automated solutions for current report generation, production optimization and overall business improvementThis position can be filled in either Allentown, PA or Chandler, AZ.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or production environmentHigh School diploma or GED with 7+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or production environmentPreferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in order execution utilizing ERP systems, preferably SAPStrong analytical skills and ability to manage KPIsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively across various departments
