Who are we hiring?
The Senior Designer leads development and maintenance of the visual identities of the New York Rangers. From season brand campaigns to ticket sales efforts, this person is responsible for producing social graphics, digital OOH, posters, signage, apparel, merchandise, video supers and graphics, web banners, and email templates. Working with other designers and creatives, the Senior Designer plays a key role in driving the MSG Sports in-house Creative group to consistently deliver outstanding work.
What will you do?
Concepts and executes breakthrough, best-in-class design solutions.Handles assignments from the point of receiving a creative brief through to completion.Collaborates with other departments-Social, Marketing Strategy, Ticket Sales, Marketing Partnerships, and Fan Engagement-to hone creative assets, often presenting creative work.Manages two other designers.Concepts content and activations for brand initiatives throughout the year, like Season Launch, Playoffs, Draft, All-Star, and Theme Nights, to name a few.Quality-assures MSGS internal assets and works to maintain an organized active and archive drive of projects and files.Works to identify opportunities to develop and implement design systems and templates in order to maximize efficiency.Works with the Motion Graphics team to develop arresting visuals and ensure that visual identity is cohesive across all platforms.What do you need to succeed?
5-10 years of proven brand design experienceAdvanced skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Knowledge in and passion branding and typographyStrong analytical skills, conceptual skills, and ability to brainstorm.Keen attention to detailExcels at working in a team environment while also being able to work independently.Confident presentation skillsAbility to handle multiple projects at once while sticking to deadlines.Desire and willingness to learn, grow, and contribute wherever needed.
