Summary:
The Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs Team is seeking a program manager to support its attorneys' work towards regulatory compliance across the company as they provide cybersecurity compliance counseling, lead strategic compliance initiatives, and shape the development of cybersecurity laws worldwide.
The Program Manager in this role should have experience with compliance functions and handling issues associated with managing regulations or standards, with the ability to support implementation, monitoring, and reporting to meet complex legal requirements across multiple legal, engineering, and business stakeholders, coupled with ongoing corporate governance, coordination, and oversight by executives. The Program Manager will support attorneys as they plan and develop programs and systems, as well as identify and utilize appropriate tooling, to support cybersecurity corporate governance and enable engineering and business groups to fulfill cybersecurity regulatory obligations for the protection of customers and client. Candidates should be comfortable using client's technologies and apply them to advance and scale the work of client's Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs Team.
Responsibilities:Support attorneys in the Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs Team who drive and manage cybersecurity corporate governance, implementation of regulatory requirements, and ongoing compliance by collaborating with cross-company teams of legal, business, and engineering professionals to ensure compliance.Support attorneys in encouraging cross-company adoption at scale by:collecting innovative ideas and business needs.managing program communities and stakeholders.collaborating with internal stakeholders to help design and sustain compliance processes and infrastructure; andsupporting a rhythm of engagement that keeps Microsoft communities informed and engaged with our cybersecurity compliance and regulatory implementation work.Have a deep technical understanding of data security and governance architectures, solutions/technologies.Manage internal website and associated communications. Survey, track, and analyze website metrics.Provide support for planning, executing, and monitoring of internal community-building engagement and coordination across multiple stakeholders.Provide attorneys with additional administrative and business support, including, among other things: developing and managing schedules, internal/external meeting scheduling/planning, and general review.Key Experience/Qualifications:
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.2+ years of relevant professional experience that includes program management in a highly complex regulatory and scalable environment OR equivalent experience.Strong technology skills and a demonstrated capability to engage stakeholders with divergent technical skills at all levels of the organization.Facility with software, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, Sharepoint, and Microsoft web development tools.Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a deadline-driven environment.Strong oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently while identifying need for guidance/assistance andcollaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Experience implementing and improving secure software development frameworks across multiple product releases and/or software development methodologies.Experience complying with or evaluating compliance against internal cybersecurity policies or external information technology standards.Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Degree with specialization in computer/software engineering, cybersecurity policy, or a related field.Prior work at Microsoft-either as full-time employee or longer-term vendor.Experience working with attorneys in CELA/CELA/another legal environment.Product development experience focused on cybersecurity, privacy, online safety or other regulatory compliance requirements.Experience translating complex, technical information for a Client audience.PMI/PMP certification not required.Education:
