Principal

The Principal is responsible for the successful implementation of a client project or program (multiple projects with a given client). In conjunction with project implementation, the Principal ensures that all members of the LCE project team conduct themselves in a highly professional and appropriate manner, follow all LCE work processes and procedures, and deliver according to the scope of work, schedule, and approach as defined in the project execution plan. In addition, the Principal has the primary project management and client relationship responsibility for creating our "Advocate Client". The Principal will have the day-to-day interaction with the LCE and client's team members to provide first-hand leadership performance evaluation and coaching.

The Principal is also responsible for working with the Managing Principals (MPs), Vertical Leaders, and RCG leadership team to find and close new business, including expanding the scope of current work and pursuing opportunities at other sites or clients. These activities cannot interfere with the primary responsibility of successful engagement/advocate client responsibilities.

The Principal position is based in your remote home office or an LCE office (if local) and would require frequent travel to the client site.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

75% direct utilization on client engagements: strategizing, coaching, managing projects, creating/presenting progress update reports, ensuring outstanding delivery and client satisfaction, and upselling current projects15% utilization selling new client engagements to new and/or existing client sites, estimating projects, and writing proposals10% administrative updating procedures/practices and keeping LCE toolboxes up to dateAssist team to:

Identify and quantify client issuesArticulate the features of our service offerings that address specific client issuesExplain the benefits of our unique solution/value differentiatorsDemonstrate proof of our products and services

Keep CRM current with all opportunities using the gated opportunity management process and proceduresWork with team to design/craft client-specific solutions with business case: economic benefits and payback scheduleDevelop project execution plans that deliver the highest value to our clients and LCEPerform/lead Reliability Excellence, Operational Excellence, and Asset Management opportunity assessmentsStructure the engagements using a project execution plan that ensures highest return on investment for the clients and the highest utilization for LCEManage the implementation recommendations and solutions so that the client receives the necessary resources to be successful, exceeding the benefits promised in the recommendationsMaintain the relationship with the client, keeping them informed of engagement progress and coaching client to make timely, relevant decisions to ensure engagement successMaintain client relationship once the engagement is completed, informing clients of new products and services that will add value to their organization

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

Hold one or more degrees or certifications within their profession (i.e., BA/BS, PE, CRE, CMRP, CPMM, CPIM, CRL, Six Sigma, Lean, RCM)More than 10 years of industry experienceHold Prosci-certified Change Management certification (or obtain certification within one year of employment)Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skillsLead with high energy, motivating coworkers and team members, emphasizing excellence in everything we doStrong project management skillsDisciplined in delivering consistent and highly reliable work processes, ensuring project delivery qualityMust be able to establish professional and personal relationships with all position stakeholders; a person of high character and humility that easily establishes credibility within LCE and client organizationsAbility to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole within rapidly changing business and contract conditions and priorities; must be able to meet tight deadlinesAbility to understand prospective clients' business challenges, define a consultative solution, and successfully present the proposed approach to the clientKnowledgeable in systematic Change Management and Program Management Best Practices and their integration/application in consultative solutionsAbility to coach, mentor, share knowledge, and develop othersProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project

Preferred Skills and Experience:

In addition to at least 10 years of industry experience, 5 or more years of experience in selling, leading, and implementing large consulting projects ($1MM++) across multiple plants/divisions and substantial experience in the following areas:

ConsultingWork/Best practice development and implementation experience in an industrial settingExperience with Asset Management Standards such as PAS55 and ISO 55001.Reliability from the holistic perspective: processes, people, systems, etc. (not just equipment reliability)MaintenanceQualityOperationsPlant financial analysis and business case developmentLogisticsPlant start-up experience

In-depth consulting/engagement knowledge and experience in at least 3 of our primary industry verticals/horizontals:

Pharma/Life SciencesFood & Beverage/ClientMetals & MiningGeneral Manufacturing

Financial and data analysis skills, including the ability to develop a cost/benefit business case for engagement and present findings in a concise, thorough, and informative mannerStrong proposal development and proposal management experienceProficiency in CRM or other Business Development tool

Physical Demands and Expectations:

Flexibility to travel approximately 60 - 70% of the time, including international travelRegular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required in both an industrial and office environmentAbility to use phone and computer systems, scanner, and other office equipment.
