The Self-Driving Data and Analytics team is responsible for mining fleet data from millions of Tesla cars to improve our neural networks and creating real-time analytics to measure Self-Driving performance. This is a very high-impact role that helps the team set overall goals and priorities, but also contributes directly to those goals by sourcing high volume and high-quality data.

Responsibilities

Write fleet queries and Python scripts to source new datasetsCreate metrics to analyze performance of Self-Driving and specific driving eventsVisualize data and metrics using tools like Grafana (custom JavaScript is a plus)Create Spark jobs to support data pipelines with appropriate alerting to monitor infrastructure healthManage inflow rate and volume of fleet dataIterate with AI engineering partners on effectiveness of new datasetsBuild automation and tools to make these workflows maximally efficientRequirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math or proof of exeptional skills in related fieldExperience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL (PostgreSQL), MATLAB, RExperience with Spark, Caspian, JavaScript, Grafana, and/or OpenSearch is a plusAbility to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with high ambiguity; self-starter mentalityCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$120,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
