Clinician
to provide substance abuse rehabilitation, individual counseling and staff resource education in a therapeutic setting assisting adult consumers with a primary diagnosis of mental illness and co-existing addictions disorders to achieve social, economic, emotional and personal independence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete substance abuse assessments for all clientsIntegrate a variety of treatment modalities and clinical interactionsFacilitate dual diagnosis treatment group on as needed basis, focusing on education/motivation, relapse prevention, and evidence based practicesAssesses mental health status, safety and any potential medication contraindicationQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
MA degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, social work or closely related human services discipline requiredOne (1) year directly providing addiction services counseling work experienceCADAC or equivalent addictions certificate desired.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, prioritiesDemonstrated strong attention to detailDemonstrated strong time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actionsMust be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocolsMust possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communicationDemonstrated (basic, intermediate, advanced) experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferredExperience using and knowledge of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemMust have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
