PRINCIPAL NETWORK ENGINEER

The Principal Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organizations network infrastructure. Under minimum supervision, implements mid to large scale complex network projects. Assesses, designs, implements, troubleshoots, and supports a wide range of infrastructure technologies including Cisco and Extreme Switching, Palo Alto Firewalls Cisco and Aruba Wireless, Netscaler Load balancers, and Infoblox DNS.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Required)

Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience

10 years experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Infrastructure (Required)

5 Years experience designing and managing Palo Alto firewalls (Preferred)

General experience and knowledge working with network monitoring, management tools and packet capture analysis such as SNMP, NetFlow, Cisco ISE, Thousand Eyes, DNA (Preferred)

General experience and working knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACI, SD-WAN, WiFi protocols and VPNs (Preferred)

Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring systems (Preferred)

General experience and strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including network segmentation, access control, and threat mitigation (Preferred)

License/Certifications

CCNP - Cisco Cert Net Professional (Preferred)

CCDP - Cisco Cert Design Profesional (Preferred)
