CLINICIAN ASSOCIATE LICENSED
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, provides screening and biopsychosocial, suicide risk, and other specific assessment tools in evaluation of the client.Provides sound triage decisions, clinical formulation and diagnostic impressions based on clinical assessments.Develops client treatment plans in collaboration with the individual.Provides individual, group counseling, family counseling, and other treatment modalities within an evidence-based framework.Coordinates care with the treatment team and external resources.Demonstrates clinical knowledge in mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders along with social determinants of health.Performs duties from a recovery oriented, client centered, and trauma informed perspective.Documents services in the electronic health record according to agency standards.Demonstrates strong clinical judgement in care provision.Regularly obtains clinical supervision and seeks additional supervision as necessary.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ASSESSES/SCREENS CASES
Performs thorough bio psychosocial assessment of the client and documents assessment within agency guidelinesUtilizes information from multiple sources as appropriate in the formulation of client driven treatment planningAssesses and documents response to interventions, modifies interventions as neededMay utilize specific assessment tools regularly in evaluation of the clientDemonstrates strong clinical judgment in assessment, application of diagnostic criteria, clinical formulations, and sound triage decisionsRegularly obtains clinical supervision and seeks additional supervision as necessaryCOUNSELS INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS AND SIGNIFICANT OTHERS
Creates therapeutic relationship as appropriate with consumers and families/significant othersConducts individual, family, group counseling / therapy, and educational sessions using evidence based interventionsDemonstrates clinical knowledge in mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorder treatmentDemonstrates documented clinical proficiency (through education, training or experience) in client engagement, interviewing and recordingDEVELOPS AND PARTICIPATES IN CASE MANAGEMENT/CARE PLANNING
Creates, communicates, and coordinates treatment planDemonstrates expertise in care/planning through objectives, goals and specificity of planServes as resource to staff in demonstration of up-to-date knowledge of DCSB, community, regional, and state resourcesAssist treatment team in problem solving regarding needed resources for consumersInsures timely communication with providers through proper exchange of written and verbal communication per policy and procedure.Document referrals, discharges, resources or other issues for problem resolution and/or utilization as required in agency policyMay serve as a liaison in community resource activitiesPROFESSIONAL
Maintain licensure / certificationActively participates in clinical supervisionActively engages in behavioral health educational initiativesSeeks continuing education to meet current clinical needsSKILL, COMPETENCY AND EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree and licensure as a Master's Social Worker, Associate Professional Counselor and/or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist is required.Actively working toward an independent license.Two years of related work experience, computer efficient and ability to multi-task. Experience in using evidenced based treatments for mental illness and addiction.May be required to have experience in working with youth (as determined by clinic needs).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: LCSW, LPC OR LMFT

Able to communicate effectively with co-workers, internal and external customers and the public.Ability to interact and communicate with clients and their families effectively.WORKING CONDITIONS
Outpatient mental health clinic office setting - Monday -Friday 8:15am-5:00pm with some evening and weekend hours (as determined by clinic needs).Ability to use a computer, telephone, fax, copy and scanning machine.NEEDED ATTRIBUTES
