Clinical Supervisor

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position is responsible for performing clinical supervision of staff in a manner that is consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field. These duties will generally include, but are not limited to, supervision of clinical staff and trainees, monitoring clinician productivity, providing clinical consultation, clinical program development, and the oversight of clinical staff/intern/trainee training. This position requires extensive mental health experience and knowledge of outpatient clinical services. Clinical and administrative duties assigned by the Director will be consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the field of mental health and the YMCA's mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possess a current and active California license that is not under suspension or probationHave been licensed in California or any other state for at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.Have practiced psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervisionProvided direct supervision to MFT Trainees, AMFTs, Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, or Associate Clinical Social Workers who perform psychotherapy during at least two (2) years out of the last five (5) years prior to the commencement of supervision.Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws.A broad theoretical knowledge and expertise in the practice of a variety of treatment modalities and of diagnostics and therapeutic techniques in order to diagnose and solve problems in psychotherapeutic work with children, adolescents and/or adults.Knowledge of the racial, ethnic, economic and social factors affecting the residents of the neighborhood served by the programProficiency with Microsoft Office and OutlookClinical documentation standards per California BBS.Expertise and knowledge in law and ethics for helping professions.
