Mission:
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all HR activities within our warehouse operations. This includes recruiting, training, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with non-exempt employees in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partner:
Act as a business partner and advisor to the Leadership Team and Vice President of Global Logistics and advise on employee relations issues, HR policy and practice, and legal risk. Create HR strategies to align with business goals.Partner with and support managers/supervisor with workforce planning, performance management, and employee development.Collaborate with leaders on talent management and development initiatives to attract, develop and retain high-performing talent.Build relationships quickly to act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely and professional manner.Design and maintain an effective employee engagement strategy to motivate the workforce, reward performance and retain workers.Establish, deliver, and maintain excellent associate relations practices in the DC by ensuring associate problems/issues are resolved quickly, using consistent communication methods, fair treatment and respect for all people and consistent application of MGA's policies.Ensure HR initiatives/processes are executed timely and with high quality/ Provide HR guidance to the DC Management group.Understand and ensure MGA's application and protection of all current employment laws (EEO, Wage & Hour, Labor, ADA, FMLA,). Conduct employee relations investigations thoroughly and through to appropriate completion. Make recommendations on appropriate actions. Keep accurate and complete documentation on all issues.
Training and Development:
Assess training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various topics including safety, compliance, and professional development.Ensure that appropriate leadership and tools are deployed in the DC to optimize an environment where the workplace is free of discrimination, violence, and harassment by proactively measuring employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and/or municipal laws.Provide coaching and leadership training to leadership team.Assist in recruitment activities to drive talent acquisition process.
Performance Management:
Implement and oversee performance appraisal processes, providing guidance to managers on performance issues and next steps.Manage the quarterly performance review process including goal setting and compensation planning.Develop and monitor improvement plans for underperforming employees.Administer key HR policies and processes. Recommend changes to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Compliance and Recordkeeping:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Provide on-going assessment of compliance processes and make recommendations to ensure world-class compliance to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.Act as a subject matter expert on California Wage and Hour practices. Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
Compensation and Benefits:
Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.Conduct market analyses to ensure competitive compensation structures.Manage/support the annual benefits enrollment process.
Safety and Health:
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment and OSHA Compliance.Manage the facility Workers' Compensation Program including claim management and interactions with insurance company and legal staff.Promote health and wellness initiatives within the workforce.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Proven experience working with non-exempt employees.Strong knowledge CA Wage and Hour Policies and practices.Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to influence leadership and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality with integrity.Proficient in HRIS and other HR-related software.Familiarity with Federal and State leave laws.Strong Project Management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work productively and independently.PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.Bilingual (Spanish)Skills and Competencies:

Salary:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 /yr
