What's the Short Version?

The Manager, Human Resources serves as a trusted advisor to the Distribution Center (DC) General Manager, leadership team and staff on HR disciplines and efforts. They are both an employee champion and change agent. The Manager, Human Resources assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating proactively with the DC General Manager and HR Leadership.

What Will You Be Doing?

Provide HR guidance and support to the DC General Manager and Assistant General Manager.Manage the DC HR staff and their efforts, including time keeping, payroll, benefits, and recruiting.Lead full cycle recruiting and onboarding for all exempt and non-exempt positions.Help manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.Provide performance management to leadership team (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, and goal setting); administer the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the DC.Frequently walk the production floor and engage with employees.Participate in selection, evaluation, and monitoring of leadership and employee training programs.Administer and communicate benefit programs such as life, medical, and dental insurance, PTO, 401K, leave of absence, and employee assistance programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.What Are We Looking For?

Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business, Related Field or equivalent work experience.4-6 years of leadership experience in the field of Human Resources.4-6 years resolving complex employee relations issues.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI preferred.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including benefit and compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws.Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.Strong organizational skills, with high attention to details.Takes personal responsibility for own actions, keeping commitments and asking for and offering help when needed.Learn and understand, at a high level, all functions of the Distribution Center.Strong conflict management skills.Be self-directed and motivated.What's Our Offer?

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

DC Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand and walk. The employee may lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Basic literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast-paced. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
